NEW AND IMPROVED PHILIPPINE STATISTICS AUTHORITY (PSA)-ONE OF THE MAIN GOVERNMENT AGENCIES SOUGHT AFTER BY UK VISA APPLICANTS

The best strategy in filing for any UK Settlement Visa, whether it be a UK Spouse Visa or a UK Fiancée Visa is to show to the Entry Clearance Officer (ECO) that the applicant is truly qualified.

You may ask what the qualifications are.

ECO-Friendly would like to answer this by reaffirming the eligibilities set forth by the UK Embassy in Manila, Philippines.

The most important qualification for the UK Settlement Visa (whether UK Spouse Visa or a UK Fiancée Visa) is for the applicant from the Philippines to show that their relation with the British sponsor is GENUINE and LEGITIMATE.

For the UK Spouse Visa, the best document to prove that the marriage is valid in the Philippines is none other than the Marriage Certificate duly issued by the government entity authorized to register and release the document, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) formerly known as the National Statistics Office (NSO).

In the olden days, most applicants will most likely detest the mere sound of NSO because back then, this government agency used to take days before a document (either the birth certificate, marriage certificate or a Certificate of No Marriage-CENOMAR) is issued.

Good thing that after the Duterte administration took over the helms of government, a lot has improved and the NSO, now the PSA, has become one of the fastest and most reliable agencies in the country in terms of its service to the public.

Now it takes merely hours (two hours at the least or three hours for peak times) to obtain a certificate if you will get it at their  National Capital Region (NCR) office located at the Philippine Bible Society (PBS) Bldg. along Ramon Magsaysay Blvd., in Sta. Mesa, Manila.

For the information and guidance of applicants for the UK Spouse Visa or UK Fiancée Visa, the following details need to be provided whenever obtaining legal documents or certificates from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA):
  1. Complete name of the child (first, middle, last)
  2. Complete name of the father
  3. Complete maiden name of the mother
  4. Date of birth (month, day, year)
  5. Place of birth (city/municipality, province)
  6. Whether or not registered late. (If registered late, please state the year when it was registered.
  7. Complete name and address of the requesting party
  8. Relationship to the child
  9. Number of copies needed
  10. Purpose of the certification

ECO-Friendly, however, clarifies that the application will not be approved instantly if the relationship between the Filipina applicant for the UK Spouse Visa or Fiancée Visa and her British sponsor/boyfriend/husband/fiancée is proven.

There are other issues that must be considered such as the financial status or capability the British sponsor to support the applicant pecuniarily, suitable accommodation for the applicant once she is in the UK and other qualifications which she must possess.
