Let’s take some time off from discussing the UK Spouse Visa and UK Fiancée Visa and talk about the SRRV for the benefit of the British partner.
After obtaining a favorable decision from the UK Embassy-Manila, most Filipino clients of ECO-Friendly who applied for a UK Spouse Visa or UK Fiancée Visa and who are now based in the United Kingdom now regularly visit their motherland together with their British partners on a regular basis.
This is especially true particularly among those whose British partners are already retired and have all the time in the world to visit the beautiful tourist destinations which the Philippines is very well known for.
However, one common hassle whenever they go back to the Philippines is the Philippine immigration requirements for their stay in the country.
Usually, the British spouse is required to go through the Philippine Bureau of Immigration to obtain the Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR)/I-Card, the Annual Report, the Emigration Clearance Certificate (ECC), Re-Entry Permit (RP), and Special Return Certificate (SRC).
Regular British citizens whose spouses and partners are Filipinos are getting tired of this routines which they find annoying every time they visit the country.
Good thing there is the Special Resident Retiree’s Visa also known as the Retirement Visa available for British nationals who regularly visit the country of their Filipino spouses and partner.
If the British partner applies for this type of visa, aside from having the privilege of gaining multiple-entry rights in and out of the Philippines, the British SRRV-holder can stay in the Philippines as long as he wants!
These are just some of the benefits which await SRRV-holders. On our next blog, we will give you a full list of the privilege, rights and benefits in store for the applicants.
